Parish Council
A Message from the Chair of Council
So … what exactly is the PPC? Several weeks ago, shortly after I was selected Chair of the Parish Pastoral Council, I addressed a group of CTK newcomers. I told them how the recently re-formed PPC was in the process of finding its “legs” as the primary visioning body for the parish. As I spoke, I realized how important it was to convey that the nine lay PPC members recognize and embrace the highly visible role we play in the functioning of the parish. Stay tuned to this spot for more information about what the PPC is doing.
How is the parish at large involved? We encourage long-time parishioners, newcomers, and everyone in between to seek us out, introduce yourselves, and contact us in person or by e-mail or telephone or letter. Bring us your concerns and ideas, no matter how large or how small, and – most importantly – tell us your vision for the parish.
How can you get to know us? Meet us after Mass (there will always be one PPC member near the welcome table in the Gathering Space). If you see any one of us at a parish social event, introduce yourself. You’ll identify a PPC member – and know that member is available to talk about parish business – whenever you see one of us wearing a bright blue PPC nametag.
It really is all about YOU! Feel free to come to our month meetings (second Tuesday, 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. in the Social Hall). We’ve reserved the last 15 minutes of every meeting as an “open forum” for you.
