Volunteer Opportunities

Auction Committee
Collect Live and Silent Auction items, both corporate & personal; staff Grand Central Station on weekends for item donations; maintain donor records; develop “wish list” of ideas for donors; PowerPoint for live auction; work with auctioneer to order live auction

Marketing Committee
Provide consistent look of all materials; provide creative copy for committees; coordinate invitations; provide publicity (announcements, updates in Herald, website, mailings); auction catalog

Reservations
Develop reservation form; track reservations, dinner choices, table assignments and payments

Environment
Stage Minneapple and Metropolitan; decide table setups; create centerpieces and props

Finance Committee
Track expenses; track and collect payment for items; create bid sheets; send confirmation of purchases and donations

Dinner Committee
Select menu; create invitations; coordinate details with Metropolitan staff

Music Committee
Choose thematic music pre-dinner; provide music post auction; coordinate any additional sound/musical requirements

eCommunications
Create auction presence on website; track online donations, reservations, questions; generate emails as directed by marketing

Dream Team
Generate ideas and help implementation for all areas – raffles for miniauction and dinner auction, activities, kickoff, etc.

Other Opportunities
Bid spotters, evening greeters, teen helpers, mailings, staffing Grand Central Station, set up for auction
